Abstract

This study aims at analyzing the value chain of sesame in Kassala and Algedarif States in Eastern Sudan. The major actors across the sesame value chain include input suppliers, producers, traders, processors, and exporters. The econometric model showed that educational level, cultivated land area, average prices, and market information access are significantly affecting factors of sesame supply. The government needs to give attention to yield-increasing technologies.
