This paper sheds light on the mandate and scope of work of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine (UNCCP), or the Palestine Conciliation Commission (PCC). It was established in December 1948 to facilitate the implementation of UN Resolution 194 of 11 December 1948 and was mandated to work to resolve all conflict issues by peaceful means, including the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their homes. The researcher used the historical and descriptive-analytical approaches to collect data. The researcher reached several recommendations, the most important of which was the need to resume the work of the Conciliation Commission (UNCCP) as a functionally appropriate body concerning final solutions to the refugee issue based on UN Resolution 194.
